how to use cbd oils

Cannabidiol (CBD) belongs to a group of cannabinoids, all of which are found in hemp, and in the case of CBD especially in the flowers of the cannabis plant. We, ordinary bread eaters, have mainly heard about another cannabinoid - THC, which is also found in cannabis, only that it is cannabis. THC (cannabis) is a psychoactive substance, illegal in Poland. It can neither be cultivated nor possessed. And here comes hemp oil and consternation. Legal? Illegal? Can it be bought? Hemp oil and any other product containing CBD, regardless of concentration, is a completely legal product in Poland. It contains traces of THC, which has an acutely beneficial effect. CBD is not a psychoactive substance. It is advisable to buy it from reliable manufacturers to ensure that the CBD oil is of the highest quality.

How does CBD oil work?

The human body contains the endocannabinoid system, which is made up of many receptors that are scattered throughout the body. When it functions properly, the body is in a balance called homeostasis. And it is with this system that CBD interacts, producing extremely positive reactions for the body. These are mainly analgesic, anti-inflammatory and relaxant in nature, but not only. This is why all CBD-containing preparations, including oils, are used in the treatment of various ailments and diseases. CBD oils They are used in the treatment of chronic pain, epilepsy attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, menopause, arthritis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. The oils are also used by multiple sclerosis patients, those suffering from autoimmune diseases and cancer.

How to use CBD oils?

The fact is that there are no rigid rules on how to use CBD oils. Every body is different and oils affect it differently, and it also matters for what purpose they are used. One thing is for sure - take your time slowly and start by taking small doses of a lower concentration of the oil. You can start with 1-2 drops three times a day of an oil with a concentration of 5-10% and observe your body. Then increase the dosage. If you get the impression that the oil is not working properly for your body, reduce the dosage.

How to take CBD oils?

It does not matter whether CBD oil is used to help with ailments, illnesses or prophylactically, it should always be taken in the same way. The drops should be placed on the mucous membrane under the tongue and remain there for about 2 minutes. They should not be swallowed immediately and should not be drunk with anything. In this way, the cannabinoid will enter the bloodstream directly and in maximum quantity.

If the drops are swallowed straight away, CBD will enter our body in a very limited amount. The reason for this is that CBD oil is hydrophobic, i.e. it repels water from itself, so it is very poorly absorbed from the digestive tract. The longer the contact with the mucous membrane under the tongue, the more beneficial molecules will penetrate into the bloodstream.

Concentration versus amount of CBD and other cannabinoids

Anyone starting to use CBD oils is looking for information on what concentration to choose and how to dose it correctly. Here they write about drops, there about percentages, in another place about milligrams, and sometimes it is hard to get to grips with it.

It is therefore worth noting that the concentration of the oils is of secondary importance, as we do not dose cannabinoids based on percentages, but on milligrams per day. Therefore, when buying a particular oil, one should be guided by the weight of CBD and other cannabinoids. This is most often given in milligrams (mg).

Minimum CBD content in 10 ml:

  • 3% CBD oil contains a minimum of 300 mg of cannabinoids, including CBD
  • 5% CBD oil contains a minimum of 500 mg of cannabinoids, including CBD
  • CBD oil 10% contains a minimum of 1000 mg of cannabinoids, including CBD
  • CBD oil 20% contains a minimum of 2000 mg of cannabinoids, including CBD
  • CBD oil 30% contains a minimum of 3000 mg of cannabinoids, including CBD

So when the daily dose you need to take is 20 mg, take 8 drops (1 drop is about 5 mg CBD) of 5% oil or 4 drops of 10% oil or 2 drops of 20% oil. You can clearly see that the concentration does not matter much, if we have a higher one, we simply use fewer drops and it becomes more economical. Higher concentrations of CBD oils do not really have a correlation with its efficacy.

How to dose CBD oil?

Dosage is always key, whether you are taking medication or dietary supplements. The optimal dose of CBD actually has to be worked out for yourself. Of course, you should stick to the guidelines that come with each bottle, but the effect of CBD oil on a given body will depend on weight, the way the substance is taken, the strength of the oil used and also the expected effects. Therefore, by the method of trial and error, gradually increasing the dosage, it is necessary to reach the moment when we will feel the positive effects of the substance on our organism.

Fortunately, CBD oil does not have too many discomforting side effects; occasional headaches or abdominal pain may occur, and blood pressure may drop slightly. WHO has recognised cannabinoids as safe compounds even in such high doses as 800 mg per day. And yet, no one recommends using such amounts.
